Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You had hair loss, and thickening of the nails in spite of using the levothyroxine. You are doubting the role of thyroid problem. You are 73 years there are so many factors effecting the health and mind. they could be the anemia, defeciency of the sex harmones. The thickening of the nails could be due to the fungal infection. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
