Had Pap Smear. Having Brown Discharge, Cramps, Bloating, Chest Tenderness. What Could It Be?

I had a pap smear last Friday (3 days ago) and have had a mixture of brown discharge , not heavy just just enough to need a liner. I was suppose to start period today and typically have horrible cramps , bloating , and chest tenderness when I have period and the chest tenderness starts a few days before the period. I have had none of the normal symptoms. What is discharge and should I be concerned.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

A brown discharge on its own is nothing to worry about, it usually occurs because there was left over endometrial lining from your last period, it didnt flow out last time and that is why it is flowing out this time. When it fresh the colour is bright red, but since this is one month old the colour changes to brown.
So once again, dont worry, it is totally normal and happens to lots of women around the world.

I hope this answered your question.
