Had Coldsore On Upper Lip, White Blotch Appeared. Right Medication?

hi so earlier this year I got a coldsore on my upper lip, I was irritated by it soo much that I proceeded to pop it thinking it was just a pimple or something & about a week or 2 after it disappeared a small white blotch (or a scar I believe) took its place-minus the redness. That was in march, it is now November & I noticed that when my lips get chapped the blotch becomes way more noticeable & my lips are pretty bright complected..kinda embarrassing. I was curious as to when & if that blotch disappears when will it be & why has it took this long for it to go away? Im calling it a blotch because im not sure if a scar would be the right way to describe it.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Cold sores on your upper lips may be due to- vitamin deficiency,exposure to cold climate,intake of spicy foods,tobacco or pan chewing.

I would suggest you to apply topical steroid on the affected site.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Avoid spicy foods,tobacco or pan chewing.

Vitamin b complex as well as iron supplements has to be administered.
