Had A Cut On The Upper Lip. Swelling And Bleeding. Need Stitches?

I face planted this morning and a vertical 3/4" cut on the inside of my upper lip between my two front teeth immediately formed and started bleeding. The bleeding stopped after about half an hour under an ice pack but I can only move my mouth and talk in certain ways unless I want it to start hurting or (slightly) bleeding again. My lip is HUGE. Stitches? Vow of silence? What do I do? How long might this injury last?

As per your query you met with an accident where you got cuts inside the upper lips. Ad time there is slight bleeding and swelling with pain over the same.

Now by your query I am unable to get how deep is the injury part. If the injury is really deep then you may need stitches over the same for early recovery. If the injury is bit superficial one then it will heal by itself as the blood supply of face is good resulting in early healing.
You can meet a doctor for the best examination and treatment accordingly. In between the very first thing you should go for is immunization by tetvac (tetanus toxoid) injection. Next thing you should do is to take a course of antibiotic and painkillers for couple of days under medial supervision.

In the food you should take bland liquid diet to get the healing early and reduce the pain part. You can continue with cold compression and icing over the affected area.
