Got Endometriosis. Undergone Laparotomy, Insertion Of Mirena Coil. Have Cramps, Bloating, Loose Bowel Movements. Is This Normal?
I had severe endometriosis causing complete irreversible blockage of left ureter. Had boari flap reconstruction of left ureter via laparotomy and insertion of mirena coil 4 weeks ago. Since the op I have increasing bloatedness and cramps similar to when you have severe upset stomach. My bowel movements are a little looser than usual, but not worryingly so. I also find voiding my bladder still very painful. Is this all normal? What can I do to relieve the cramps? Have tried buscopan and peppermint oil, but not helping.
As you have chronic endometriosis, not only ureter can be blocked. Endometriosis can also cause bowels obstruction due to adhesions creating. Laparotomy is also a factor of adhesions. So both together make bowels obstruction possible. You should have it ruled out at first. It is not a normal thing. Bladder pain seems to be caused by its infection what needs to be ruled out.
I suggest you to visit your doctor, have abdominal CT with oral contrast (enteroclysis) and urine analysis.
Hope this will help. Regards.
