Foul Odor In Anal Area, Strong During Intercourse. Reason For Odor?

My GF is experiencing a very foul of odor originating in anal area. It gets very very strong during intercourse... Sometimes a mood killer! This only started 24 hrs ago. She claims it started after placing her vaginal/ rectal area over a jet in a jacuzzi just yesterday. Since then she has experienced discomfort akin to that she's experienced in the past after anal sex. (She has not done that for months).

The anus is full of bacteria. Even if partners do not have a sexually-transmitted infection or disease, bacteria normally in the anus can potentially infect the giving partner. Practicing vaginal sex after anal sex can also lead to vaginal and urinary tract infections. Anal sex can carry other risks as well. Oral contact with the anus can put both partners at risk for hepatitis, herpes, HPV, and other infections. Since it requires an examination of the local area in your case I suggest you take a dermatologist's opinion.Hope this helps.Take care.
