Feeling Of Knot Or Lump On Left Side Of Jaw, Irritation. What Could Be This?
I just rubbed my face and felt a lump or could be knot on left side of my jaw at the bottom a little before my jaw curves to my ear. Hadn't noticed it all day I've been at work till just now. Now I don't feel a pain but I can feel a little irritation. And also I don't have this in the other side of jaw. I am 23 years old. Do have any idea what this is
I read your query carefully and after considering all about your symptoms it appears as your upper cervical or jugulodiagestric lymph node is enlarged and became palpable.
Since this lump is painless therefore it is not an acute pathology. Either you are having any chronic inflammatory lesion in your nose, sinuses, oral cavity & teeth, pharynx, larynx and submandibular salivary gland or it may be any chronic disease of lymph node itself.
To confirm the etiology of lump you have to do very simple investigation i.e. FNAC from lump. This will disclose the real disease for this lump.
Regards.
