Experiencing Random Fast, Hard Heart Rate. No Pain. Why Is It Happening? How To Rectify?
Hello, I am experiencing a fast and hard heart rate at random times. It usually lasts for a couple of minutes and happens maybe every 2-3 weeks. When it is over i dont have any pain or anything. It started on my last deployment and i am currently on another but i will be getting out as soon as i get back. But i do not want to get held on medical terms from getting out.
Hello and thanks
There are two reasons for the fast heart beats: 1. Anxiety 2. heart related issue.
For anxiety you have to relax your mind and try some medication or yoga to get rid from it.
In heart related issue AF or PSVT may be the causes. To get to a diagnosis you have to get your EKG done at the time of episode or go for the holter study. This will help your doctor to get you a diagnosis. The treatment includes Beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers.
Consult your cardiologist and get to a diagnosis.
Best Wishes
