Double Mastectomy On Breast. Had Reconstructive Surgery. Taking Exemestane And Tamoxifen. What Can I Expect?
Yes Hi My Name is Leslie...I just Went through a double Mastectomy on my breast ...& had reconstructive surgery ...I am now taking exemestane 25 mg....4 5 yrs....I was allergic to the tomoxifen...Now I am having problems with my thyroid...& my doctor has me on levothyroxine 0.075mg ...I have a lot of weight & wanted to know if this med will help me to lose the weight & what Exactly is this pill for ?

levothyroxine is given when body is deficient in thyroid hormones. This is actually a hormone replacement therapy given to overcome the deficient natural production of thyroid hormone.
Deficiency of thyroid hormone may lead to weight gain. So, this medicine may help loose weight if deficient thyroid hormone is the sole cause of excessive weight.

above mentioned drug is antioestrogen,which will prevent further cancer development.ur excess wt. is because of thyroid problem.so.take medicines regularly.do exercise,thats what is required.all the best!
