Does Very Light Bleeding Than Normal And Little Cramping Indicates Miscarriage?

I normally have very intense cramps along with a very heavy flow with a decent amount of clots, that lasts for 4 days. I started bleeding around the 12th of this month. It was a light flow, and very little cramping to none. The cramping got a little more intense and the flow was a little more, but nothing compared to my normal periods. The cramps then went away and I have been having very light bleeding. I thought I was pregnant, than maybe had a miscarraige. The first day of my last period was Feb 4.

Hello,

In the current scenario, you need to get a pregnancy test, either a HPT or the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to exclude/confirm pregnancy. Urinalysis also is needed to exclude infection since this is another common cause for such presentation. Finally, hormone disturbances and pelvic and general infections should be checked. Take adequate rest, fluids and a healthy diet. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Maintain a proper weight and avoid stress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
