Does Iron Supplements Affects Blood Glucose Levels?

I would like to ask Is the iron supplements will affecting in high blood glucose??
My father got diabetics and he have a good control in blood suger. Last week he started the iron supplement, unfortunately the blood suger is raising. Before meal is 11mmol/L.
So my father is very worry about that.

hi,
there is no proved data that iron supplements increase sugar levels. you should watch out for other conditions like stress and diet variations that plays a major role in diabetic dysregulation. what is the reason to start iron supplements?
we should rather think if there is any other condition that is not diagnosed that is causing anemia and fluctuating sugars simultaneously like an internal bleed, blood cell destruction etc?
you should consult your doctor and ask for a check up for these things.
