Does A Non-itchy Rash In Groin Area Require Medical Attention?

I have a rash on my groin area, it is about the size of a quarter on one side and maybe a dime on the other. It resembles jock itch, however it is not itchy. The blotches look pretty circular like ringworm and they re reddish brownish compared to the surrounding skin. I just noticed it this morning and started to make sure the area is dry and have put topical cream clotrimazole 1 % on it as it is an antifungal cream that commonly fights jock itch. Should I still go seek medical attention? I am worried as it is not itchy.

Hi,

It seems that the non itchy rash in groin may be candidosis. The rash may be circular and erythematous. There may be burning sensation. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. The candidal intertrigo is a fungal infection caused by candida albicans. Antifungal like itraconazole or ketoconazole may be taken for few weeks. Apply antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream. Soap should be avoided during bath. Internal diseases like DM should be ruled out.You may become alright after few weeks. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
