Does Augmentin Cure Swollen Lymph Node?

Hi, 5 days ago today I had found a knot in my neck. Found out it was a swollen lymph node diagnosed as Lymphadentitis. Today is my 3rd dose of Augmentin and I recently found my right under arm is sore, yet another inflammed lymph node. Today My inner leg is sore. Yet my groin lymph node. Why isn t the antibiotics helping?

Hello,

You may be suffering from acute generalised lymphadenopathy may be infectious or secondary malignancy or auto immune etc.

Yes augmentin may help to reduce infectious type of lymphadenopathy. But along with that you may take tablet.azithromycine 500 mg first day followed by 250 mg once day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
