Do Antibiotics Cause False Positive Results Of Pap Smear?

I was given pap smear results that I have trich. And the PA said the only way to get it was that my husband was unfaithful. I asked if having surgery and being hospitalized and put on strong antibotics cause a false positive. She said no. Is this true?

Hello
Trichomoniasis is a parasitic infestation of urogenital tract. It is a sexually transmitted disease. You must have caught the infection from your spouse. Antibiotics do not cause false positive results. This infection requires medical attention and both you and your sexual partner need to take treatment.
Hope I have clarified your query.
Regards
