Cramps, Sore Breast And Missing Periods. Negative Pregnancy Tests. What Could This Be?

hi I have all the symptoms for when i have my period cramps that come and go sore breast but still has not come yet i always get my period every month without fail its not always on time but never this late its been 18 days now and ive taken a pregnancy test but it was negative. any ideas what could be causing this

Hello madam, well from the history you have given, these could be pre menustral symptoms....But yes pregnancy has to be ruled out first...sometimes in very early weeks of pregnancy the urine pregnancy test may show a faintly positive line or may not turn out to be positive, this is because of low levels of beta HCG in early weeks of pregnancy. ....In such circumstances, a repeat urine test may be required after 5 to 7 days....Sometimes stress also delays periods.....If there is any underlying thyroid disorder, it may also be the cause irregular cycles ....If pregnancy is ruled out and still your periods are delayed with the symptoms, then you may have to consult your gynaecologist. ...hope i was helpful to you. ...
