Could The Muscle Pain And Fever Be Due To Boxer Fracture?

My mom is 64 and she fell down some stairs 3 days ago. She has a boxer fracture - and she has been well in the last 48 hours. Last night she woke up with major chest/back muscular pain and a fever. Could the fever be from the fracture? Could the muscle pain be the natural progression of the pain?

Hi,

No fracture do not cause any fever or back pain. This is completely different from boxers fracture. Please visit nearby hospital for proper work up.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
