Could Irritated, Swollen, Itchy Vulva With Stinging While Urinating Indicate Vaginitis?
Hi, my vulva has been extremely irritated. It s completely swollen and incredibly itchy, when it isn t itchy it hurts. It stings when i pee as well. I ve looked around online and my symptoms seem to match those of vaginitis or vulvovaginitis. I do not have multiple sex partners, just one who is a somewhat new sex partner for me. I do not douche either. Please help me out i m unsure of whether this could spread to my sex partner (who is a male), and whether i should seek a physician or can just go get some over the counter drugs to fix my problem. Please answer asap.

By definition you have a vulvovaginitis.
Frequent causes are Candidiasis/Moniliasis (yeast infection, not considered STD), Trichomoniasis (a parasitic STD) and Herpes Simplex 2 (a viral) STD.
You could try Nistatine for 7-10 (monistat-7) but you don not have a real diagnosis so I would suggest you seek an MD opinion
