Could Hot Flashes, Nausea And Tender Breasts Be Due To Depo Withdrawal?

I was supposed to get my depo shot about three weeks ago, however my husband and I have decided to try and get pregnant. The last two weeks I have been having hot flashes, nausea ( I have gotten sick) and my breast are tender. Can this be withdrawl from the depo?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, these side effects are from Depo withdrawal if you don’t want to take Depo shots then you can skip it and take contraceptive pills which will also give you relief from above symptom. If you don’t want contraceptive pills then have symptomatic treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
