Could Cramps In Stomach Be Related To Implanon?

I have had Implanon since November of 2012 after having my son. My period stopped back in July of 2013 and I just started my first period since then, I've never had bad cramps with it before and was wondering if it could be my body rejecting it since the cramps are at the top of my stomach?

Hi,

Implanon can cause stomach cramps, especially on the initial days of usage.

You can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid for pain relief and if symptoms persist you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
