Cold. Runny Nose, Sore Throat, Cough, Body Aches, Loss Of Appetite, Night Sweats, Feeling Stabbed On Stomach. Suggestion?

I am 23 years old. 5"5 170lbs. I have had a cold for 2 days now. Runny nose, sore throat, cough, body aches, loss of appitite. Last night I kept tossing and turning, so I came to lay on the couch. I was getting really bad night sweats, then I wake up and my entire stomach feels like it is being stabbed. Everytime I breathe, or move. I am laying down right now and it feels like stabbing in the center of my stomach.

Hi and thanks for the query,
It is worth noting that colds are generally caused by viruses and could be associated by intense fatigue. However, bacteria could be involved, especially when the fever becomes very high and stable, and the general health condition deteriorates. I suggest in your case, persistence of symptoms in case symptomatic treatment fails might require a more invasive approach to ascertain the cause and severity of disease. for how, Acetaminophen., Vitamin C in the morning and Saline to wash nostrils might be sufficient. Persistence will require a full blood count in search of raised neutrophils for a bacterial infection , or a chest X ray.
The pain in the abdomen could be a simulated presentation of lung infections, which in some cases might even present themselves like abdominal surgical emergencies. However, an abdominal examination to ascertain common diseases like gastritis, especially if there is a past history of such a pathology is very appropriate.
I suggest you consult you consult your family physician i case symptoms persist or aggravate.
thanks and best regards,

Hello,
You have not mentioned about body temperature.. Well running nose with body ache suggest viral fever. It may subside its own if your immunity is well. But IN ORDER TO PREVENT SECONDARY BACTERIAL INFECTION, U MAY NEED TO TAKE ANTIBIOTIC.. Consult the physician and get done all the investigation to rule out malaria, dengue etc. Take medication as per his advice. stomach pain could be due to added gastritis will be cured by antacids.

Thank you
