Chronic Dry Cough, Breathing Difficulty. Taking Montair-lc Kid Provides Relief. Safe Medication?

Hi Doctor, My son is 8yrs old and having cough (dry) for almost one month..no other issues with his health . he is active . Due to this cough he is facing some breathing issues some time smostly in nights....we have given Montair LC Kid and it helps him a lot and he sleeps so cool and calm with out any further cough....Is this fine to use Montair LC KId when ever he gets cough and breathing issue....we dont have any family history of Asthma etc

your sons needs to be evaluated for bronchial asthma by doing a test called spirometry,which will help to differentiate between allergic bronchitis and asthma.This is important as the treatment for both is different.The medication you are giving him is just treating his symptoms but you need to find the cause.
