Hello
Thank you for placing your query on Health Care Magic
From the symptoms it seems that your daughter has some element of gastro-esophageal reflux (GER) which has been worsened by a recent episode of gastritis. Gastro-esophageal reflux is a condition in which the contents of the stomach (whatever we have eaten along with digestive juices and acids) come back into the food pipe or the esophagus. Some degree of GER is common in most children (thats how they remove the excess air that they swallow). But usually such GER resolves by 1 year of age. In your case it seems to have persisted for a while. But since she is vomiting only in the morning it is likely that it is aggravated by a mild gastritis. I recommend you make her sleep with a bigger pillow and never flat. Gravity helps reduce GER. So make her sleep on a big pillow. Try small frequent meals instead of large portions at larger intervals. Try and avoid junk food, spicy and oily foods for a while. Feed her at least 1-2 hours before she sleeps and not immediately before she sleeps so that she moves around a bit after dinner before sleeping. Try to thicken the milk products a bit like making a pudding instead of milk and give her in the morning. And for such children I usually prescribe a drug to reduce the acid secretion called lansorazole and a drug like domperidone for helping the stomach push its contents forward. For proper doses consult a pediatrician or pediatric surgeon. The symptoms seem to be mild and I think it should resolve with these measures
Hope that helped
God bless you
