Child Has Bacterial Pink Eye And Raised Rash On Arm. Cause?

My 26 month old daughter recently had bacterial pink eye and was put on an antibiotic eye ointment. I kept her home for 2 days before she was around the 3.5 year old girl we nanny for. Somehow the pink eye spread to 3.5 year old anyway. She also had an ear infection . Now my daughter seems to have caught the pink eye again. I put breast milk in her eyes and ears. Her eyes are looking better but now she has a raised warm rash on her arm. Any idea what is going on? Spread of infection? She has an appointment tomorrow with her naturopath.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The description provided by you suggests an infection which has spread from one daughter to the other and now seems to be spreading. I suggest that you get her examined by your doctor who will advise you after examining the rash and the eyes. Most probably it appears to be a superadded bacterial infection over a viral one.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter an early recovery.

Regards,

RKK
