THANK YOU SO MUCH I TOOK MY SON TO THE DOCTORS BECAUSE HE STARTED SHOWING SWOLLEN LIPS AND HE HAD WHITE SWORES INSIDE HIS MOUTH THEY GAVE HIM A MEDICINE BUT NOW ITS BEEN 1 DAY SINCE HIS BEEN TAKING THE MEDS AND HIS MOUTH IS RED IS THAT NORMAL the doctor said its a mouth fungus he might of gotten his only 1 yr and 3 months old so she said its normal for kids his age because they get everything in their mouths but I have never seen this before the white stuff is gone but its red I don't know what else to do ! THE MEDICINE IS CALLED NYSTATIN

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Nystatin was perscribed for the oral thrush (fungal infection) which you were seeing as the white patches. With the use of the medicine the infection is getting controlled and you are seeing the raw area as red. Over time this reddness shall reduce. You have to continue with Nystatin for about a week.
