Can rennies and flucloxacillin be taken together?
can i take rennies if i am taking flucloxacillin tablets? I am also taking 1 x Calceos chewable tablet twice a day and 1 x Alendronic Acid 70mg once a week - does that possibly stop me being able to take Rennies? For the past 2 nights My Mother has had stomach ache, heartburn/ acid reflux and wants to know if Rennies would be okay to take... She is 88 and takes heart tablets as well and also has diverticulitis . Thanks very much.

as per the details u have given,
Your mother has been suffering from OSTEOPOROSIS, and she is on Alendronic acid weekly once, flucoxacillin is a penicillin related antibiotic and u can take it along with it..
but one thing you should remember is before taking alendronic acid , she must take it with a empty stomach with 2 glasses of water and should NOT be lie down for 15 to 20 minutes to avoid reflux and heart burn..
so i suspect she is complaining of heartburn because of either alendronic acid or the calcium tablets, so start using ranitidine or pantaprazole preperation every day morning before break fast , it will help u in this regard..
