Can Occasional Nipple Itching, Mild Cramping And Slightly More Vaginal Discharge Than Usual Indicate Pregnancy?

I have very regular periods every 28 days. My period was due on oct 16th but still hasn't arrived. I have been experiencing occasional nipple itching, mild cramping and slightly more vaginal discharge than usual. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. Could I be pregnant but the test didn't detect it?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
In early pregnancy increased vaginal discharge, breast tenderness etc symptoms can be seen.
But just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy.
Urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy sometimes.
So, once go for blood test for pregnancy.
If the test comes positive, the possibility of pregnancy is there.
Then go for ultrasound to confirm intrauterine pregnancy and to estimate the gestational age.
If blood test comes negative, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
And you may get periods soon.
If not consult gynecologist once and take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding.
Take care.
