My husband has borderline Diabetic Mellitis. he frequently gets ichthing n burning sometimes painful scarrings on his glans penis. Four months back we gone to adermatologist and she said it is because of his blood sugar and prescribed Sebifin ointment. It was beneficial and he get rid of that. Now he is in middle east for the last two months... Recently he said me again he is getting the same problem. Hope that i could get a remedy for this. Thanks.
Hello Thanks for query. Your husband who is known diabetic is getting itching of genital skin frequently.
It is due to fungal infection of genital called Muco Cutaneous Genital Candidiasis and id very common amongst diabetic individuals . . He has to ensure that his diabetes is under control.

He needs to take anti fungal medication like Flucon twice daily for a week along with topical anti fungal cream that he is using.
Please note that proper control of diabetes is foremost important factor to prevent recurrence of getting fungal infection. Dr.Patil.
