Can Dehydration Cause Achy And Swollen Fingers During Pregnancy?

Hello, I am almost 20 weeks pregnant. About a week ago my fingers started to slightly swell. Last night, they got a little more swollen and have been very achy and painful. Could this be due to dehydration? My blood pressure is normal. Can you have swollen hands without getting preeclamsia?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Swollen hands during pregnancy can be due to preeclampsia, excessive weight gain or autoimmune disease.
If the blood pressure is normal, then preeclampsia is ruled out.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
