Can A Bump On The Head Increase The Body Temperature ?

My 30 year old son was hit behind drivers door at low speed(20-25 mph)
He hit the side of his head on the roof no bump on red mark. Took him to the ER doctor said he is ok that it "rang his bell" but now 28 hours later he is over heated its 30 degrees outside could it be from the bump on his head ?
