Can Needling Or Cortisone Drug Treat Arthritis Related Bursa, Also On Methotrexate?

I am taking methotrexate 10mg once per wk for serotonin negative arthritis with confirmed sacroiliac degeneration. Now my shoulder has gone with a bursa and calcium deposit which is very painful. Can I have the needleing ?.? or cortisone while on this drug treatment on my shoulder ? Thanks.

Yes, you can definitely go for cortisone injection or needling while on methotrexate. You probably will be having bursitis as part of your rheumatic polyarthritis and it will respond very well with steroid injection. Just be more careful to get it done in good setup as you are immunocompromized
due to methotrexate.
