Hi,

White spots around the mouth after cortisone intake may be a side effect of the medication. These spots can be caused by a condition called oral lichen planus, which is an inflammatory disorder that affects the mucous membranes inside the mouth. It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider to confirm the diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Treatment for oral lichen planus may include topical corticosteroids, oral antihistamines, or other medications to reduce inflammation.

In addition to medical treatment, some self-care measures may help improve the appearance of the white spots, such as practicing good oral hygiene and avoiding certain irritants, such as spicy or acidic foods. It is important to discuss any concerns or questions about your medications with your healthcare provider to ensure you receive appropriate treatment and management of any side effects.

If you require a personalized response, kindly use the Ask A Doctor service and post a follow-up. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.
