Can MTP Be Used To Terminate 40 Day Pregnancy Without Consultation?
Hello doctor...im 18 and half years of age...and im pregnant by 40 days....can i use the mtp kit without any consultation ? can you give me the possible dangers and side effects of the drug ? i dnt want my parents to find out....so would prefer a safe way of aborting as im not married....please help
You have a six week pregnancy. Termination of a six week pregnancy requires the opinion of a doctor in favor of the abortion. The pregnancy can be terminated medically with mifepristone (a progesterone antagonist) or misoprostol (a prostaglandin E1 analog). These are effective medications.
However, there are instances when the abortion is incomplete and dilatation and curettage is required. The retained products of conception can also cause infection. Hence, it is best for you to consult a gynecologist.
