Burning Sensation While Urination. Pain On The Penis Head. Advice?
Hi Doc,m male 28 yrs and married. I sometimes have Burning sensation while peeing and also pain as if a pin is pinched at my penis head. But this sensation usually goes away 2-3 minutes after I am done. I have noticed that sometimes the sensation seems to persist longer(4-5 hrs) when I have had sex the night before. This condition is not occurring on regular basis but is definitely happening on more regular basis.
Presence of symptoms like burning sensation while peeing can be due to Urinary tract infection.
The management involves: 1. Drinking lots of water (it dilutes the urine & reduces the burning sensation) 2. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports. 3. If there is associated fever, then paracetamol 500 mg three times in a day can be added. One more thing...avoid acidic foods, carbonated drinks and alcohol...& maintain good hygiene.
There is no need to worry...you will perfectly alright after taking the course of antibiotics. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Thanks & take care.
