Burn Marks On Body, Working With Paint Lately. What Could It Be?

Lately I have been noticing burn marks on my body such as on my legs, arms, face, back etc.. Its not from the sun, I have been working with a type of paint that you put on fences to stop them rotting, it may be that but it places where there's no way the pain could have got to, such as my back. Are they're anything else this could be? Thanks.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to Healthcare Magic.
After reading your query it appears the possibility of "contact dermatitis" rather more specifically to be contact irritant dermatitis due to paint. It is a common condition caused by contact of chemicals inside the paint. As the chemicals come in contact with the skin it produces a rash which you have mentioned.
For the betterment kindly follow the suggestions below:
-Apply over the counter calamine lotion 3-4 times a day.
-You can do cold water compresses to reduce the intensity of itching.
-Do not scratch or rub the skin as it can lead to further aggravation.
-The best measure is to take oral anti histamine like loratadine or levocetrizine under medial advise.
- Despite above measures if the problem is not getting better then it is better to consult a dermatologist for best guidance.
Hope these information will help.
