Are Pancreatic Lesions Usually Cancerous?

My husband has a lesion on his pancreas. It was discovered after a CT scan of his abdomen when he had a kidney stone. He has had an MRI and will need to be tested further. He will have an endoscopic ultra sound and biopsy. Are pancreatic lesions usually cancer?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Not all pancreatic lesions are cancerous. I need detailed CT report to comment further.
Pancreatic lesions are
1. Cysts
2. Pseudo cyst
3. Infective nodule or granuloma.
4. Malignant or benign tumour
5. Lymphnodes etc.
So on the appearance of CT findings, further investigation s are needed. In my opinion, your treating doctor wants to rule out malignancy. So he advised MRI and endoscopic biopsy.
So all pancreatic lesions are not cancerous but in your case it may be cancerous. Detailed CT report is necessary.
