Any Suggestion For Feeling Something Is Struck In Throat?

I feel like I have xomething caught in my throat. I can swallow, but I feel like there is something there. I have had tyroid problems and had 1/2 of it removed. I recently had a needle biopsy that didn't show cancer, although they couldnt test part of it because the carotid artery was in the way.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
This condition is called as globus hystericus,the exact cause of globus sensation is uncertain but it may be due to a problem with the co-ordination of the muscles involved in swallowing.
MOst common causes are
Muscles of swallowing may not relax fully and so the sensation of a lump in the throat occurs.
Reflux of acid from the stomach.
Smoking
Postnasal drip
Stress
Treatment of the condition includes reassurance that there is no serious underlying problem and you can follow some of the remedies.
Physiotherapy for the muscles around the throat..
Treatment for postnasal drip
Treatment for acid reflux,
Smoking cessation.
Treatment for stress.
