ADHD, atentrol, side effects, complications, dosage

My son age 11 has been recommended atentrol 10mg medicine for ADHD . please let me know it s side effects and usage. Till how long does he have to be on this medication . what more complications he might face later on? How can we persuade him to sit and study as he is not doing well academacaly in his class. He is right now in 7th Standard?

AdHd- means attention defecit hyperactivity disorder, child inattention,overlook,careless mistake,in hyperactivity-run inappropiately, talk -excess,problem -learning,performance in class poor,psychology-anxiety, depression,epilepsy, sleep disorder, bed beting-in management-psychosocial, behaviour therapy,congitive , interpersonal,family therapy-family work on his child, repeatly try to correct his mistake, explain him, medication-atoxetine, before giving tretment rule out medical disease-anaemia, hypothyrodism,hearing &vision problem, tablet - atenlol useful in hypertension, angina, myocardial infarction ,super ventricular tachycardia, hope my advice is useful to you, thank you.
