8 Year Son, Constantly Thirsty And Hungry, Tiredness, Dizziness. Blood Sugar Is 73, Normal Range?

I have an eight year old son that is constantly thirsty and hungry. He is also complaining of being more tired than usual lately. He recently told me that he sometimes feels shaky or dizzy while in school. I tested his blood sugar on a glucose machine and it was 73 after coming home from school today. What is the normal range for him?

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

The blood glucose is in normal range.

But the blood has to be given for glucose estimation to a good laboratory.
There are many cause for his symptoms,

He needs physical examination by doctor to look for anemia, nutritional deficiency, and other causes for his symptoms.

Basic investigations like CBP, electrolytes, CUE, thyroid profile, blood glucose to rule out any medical problem.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
