49 Year Old Having Nausea, Spotting. Are These Premenstrual Symptoms?

Last month my period spotted and there wasn t a flow it lasted less than a day, my last period was November the 14 this is when this occurred, now it is due and have not started, I am having no premenstrual symptoms and I am 49 yrs old . I was nauseated for 2wks during the mornings only now that it s time for my period again I am feeling the same symptoms but no period.

Hi Janet
As you approach 50 years of age, there are changes in the frequency and duration of menstruation, as you come close to menopause. This is quite normal. The gap between periods increases and the flow becomes less.
Take care of your diet. Take calcium supplements, exercise regularly and eat a well balanced diet.
