13 Year Old, Drinking Lot Of Water, Hungry And Tired. Blood Tests Done. Normal?

Hello, my name is Dylan Miranda, and I am 13 years old. I am wondering if it is normal for a teenage boy who is 13 years and 6 months old to drink a lot of water constantly? I have went to the doctor to see if it Juvenile diabetes, and theynsaid it wasnt because I did a blood test. I am also very hungry and tired as well. Is this a like a puberty thing such as a growth spurt?

Hi,thank you for your interest in HCM and nice to answer you.It seems you are very thirsty as well as hungry and you are 13.5 years. As the most common cause for these symptoms is Diabetes mellitus which is ruled out in your case,i may suggest to get complete oral glucose tolerance test done again to find out any mistakes or it may be impaired or you may be in Pre-diabetic state.Other tests like Serum creatinine, serum osmolality and urine specific gravity may be done to find out rare causes.Ofcourse, growth spurts also may cause to some extent, but not to this level, hence thorrow investigation may be necessary.
