10 Month Baby, Suffering From Fungal Infection, Applied Siloderm Mixi, Developed White Patches. Suggestions?

Hello Santosh, few days back i had used Siloderm Mixi on my 10th month baby. Actually she had some fungal infection visible in a dotted forms near to her lips, so i applied it locally there. Subsequently she developed a small white patch, i am a bit panic so please help on the same, which ointment i should apply on her face to get rid of that white spot

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I suggest that you do not apply anything over the white patch and see the progress. In case it grows in size then it shall be better to show to a doctor and seek expert opinion. Fungal infections do not respond to Silderm Mixi but would get aggravated with it.

Medication without doctors' advice is not advisable for any condition - especially for the baby and that too for its face....
The new patch may or may not be related to the medicine used - antibiotic, anti-fungal and steroid combination...
The best option is to consult a dermatologist and get a definite diagnosis and then treat - it doesn't sound like an emergency...
