Brief Answer:
Meprate is the part of your pregnancy treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for posting the concern in the HCM.

Before I give the answer to your question, I need you to clearly understand a few things.

As you're on pregnancy treatment, let's get a clear brief idea about how it happens. Firstly, you, the women, who are the gifted gender in the world are born with the capacity to produce eggs, which upon meeting your partner's sperm would transform into a fetus. And, this is the most wonderful thing that can happen in the world.

Now, the capacity of yours to produce egg determines your fertility profile and the chance of you to become pregnant. However, as we are simple human beings, we need to look into the issue indirectly. So, we look at the follicles. These are nothing but fluid filled globes or balloons containing the egg.
During your monthly cycle, the size of these follicles increase prior to the days of ovulation and one follicle emerges as the queen with highest size and is crowned as "dominant follicle". When the follicle ruptures, the egg is out and naturally now the sperm can meet with his egg. This is the time when you get pregnant after intercourse.
Now, in certain abnormalities, there is no single dominant follicle. Rather, due to hormonal imbalance, multiple follicles enlarge and ultimately cysts are formed giving rise to polycystic ovary.
Now, considering the scan, I would say it is not rational to consider any balloon as a follicle without repeat scans with evidence of enlarging size.
However, in your case now both you and me can now understand that, you have no dominant follicle in your right ovary. I think you have made some inadvertent mistake while writing the size of the Lt Ovary. But, I don't think that can hinder us to understand your condition. So, now that there is no dominant follicle in the Rt ovary, something is needed. And what is it? As I have told you above, there must be some hormonal mechanism. So, we must find some hormone to fight the enemy. And that is why your doctor recruited the commando Meprate. This is nothing but a synthetic progesterone. This prevents the over activity of pituitary gonadotropins and thereby helps to regularize the menstrual cycle and reduce the impact of hormonal imbalance. Then only you would be able to have the problem of ovulation corrected to some extent and will be able to become pregnant. There are certain ovulation inducing drugs too, which would be given after this preparation if required, so that your egg comes out at the right time, meet with your partner's sperm and you have the most lovely gift of the world- a baby.
I have tried my level best to give you some idea in simplest terms about a very complex process, which we even don't completely understand. I think this would clear out your confusion to some extent. Please continue with the treatment as advised by your doctor.
If you find this answer helpful, please rate it. Wish you a very good health and a lovely baby.
