Question: Dear Doctor Yesterday at 07 pm i worked out on my treadmill & i did a lot of exertion & my heart rate has reached to 200 then i slept at 12:30 pm . At 01:30 AM i waked up suddenly cause i felt that my right arm has paralyzed , i mean that i couldn't raise it up or move it & a numbness in my left leg & i got panicked that i am in my way to die from a stroke or something more serious . Then after 1 or 2 min i began to move it again but i also began to feel numbness specially in my fingers & till now i still have this numbness feeling & a minor pain in my elbow . For your info : I have been diagnosed with Neck Cervical Spondylosis & Moderate disk protrusion (see attached a copy from the MRI report) I also was sleeping & my arm under the pillow & of course my head is on both of them . 3 months ago & after a long stop from doing exercising i ran the track 2 times then i felt numbed for 3 days in both my hands specially the the small finger & the one beside . Should i be worry ?

Brief Answer: Just cervical protrusion Detailed Answer: Dear I understand your concern and it is a good thought to take care about your health. You have done all the right examination, those cardio tests exclude an heart problem. Cervical protrusion or discopathia is expressed clinically with your symptoms! I treat my patient with pregabalin and the effect is really good! It is reccomended that patients like you, with minor cervikal problem should avoid physical stress, be careful with exercises! Swiming is the best exercise for your problem! Those burning sensation is a sign of cervical protrusion! Dear put a cervical collar, start pregabalin for pain and burning sensation, avoid difficult exercise and you will be fine! Wishing you good health Sincerely Dr Eris Ranxha

Brief Answer: Paracentral protrusion, left arm symptoms Detailed Answer: Dear I understand that but human body is flexible! That little protrusion central and right can compress the root nerve on the left. It happens so you don't have to worry. It isn't reccomended to do those exercises, the only sport which is reccomended is swiming! Hope i have answered all your questions! Wish you all the best Dr Eris Ranxha
