Question: My husband had a 9 centimeter diverticulum. He has had it for twenty years. He has managed it well. Allergies play a large part in the condition. He has thick flem that comes up when the allergies are bad or when his esophagus is tight. He is 79 years old and no medication. Great health except for this. Are their certain foods he should avoid to help with the thick flem that comes up? Its weird because he can swallow steak and it stays down. The flem is clear in color. Sometimes it gets very thick. He always spits it out. Is there medication or preferably something natural.
Thank you

Hello: About a week ago I began to feel a slight pressure in the top of my stomach. The pain spread up through my esophagus and into my neck, but it also made my arm hurt. This concerned me and I went to the doctor who performed an EKG and cardiac enzymes which were normal. The next day I began to belch up acid into my throat and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. The belching has continued and now I have full blown heartburn. Nothing seems to help and the pain in my arm, although not severe, has continued. Should I be concerned about my heart, or does this seem purely gastrointestinal?

Dear Doctor,
for my Father, he has difficulty swallowing due to block in end of esophagus connecting to stomach.. ie..long segment 14cm in length eccentric bowl valve
thickening noted in lower 3rd segment of esophagus
with extension into the gastro esophageal junction,
lesser curvature and greater curvature of the stomach
causing irregular luminal narrowing.
pls suggest a cure for this.
thanks Doctor
