Brief Answer:
Combination drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mrs XXXX,
Welcome to HCM.
Sorry if we have ever made you wait in the past!
About your question:
"""medication label reads hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ml"""
This means that EACH 15 ml of the suspension contains 7.5mg of hydrocoedine and 325 mg of acetaminophen. As per your body weight, it is prescribed by your physician for various problems like cough, cold etc.
Chatting option is not available here, though we would try to respond as fast as we can. Please feel free to post any further queries.

I very much appreciate the service provided through this forum. This method is above and beyond the call of duty for you. In the past, when docs have provided not just basic information but have answered a couple questions for me with complete and full answers, I have voluntarily paid up to $80 for the assistance. Since a visit to my primary provider sometimes is totally inadequate, but I still pay $125.00 for what I guess they must feel is quite a "privilege".
So please provide information for me regarding the problem of my constant and unceasing cough....from your perspective. The only cough syrup which provides me relief is one considered to be a narcotic. When I had this problem about 20 years ago, I drove to XXXXXXX CO and visited a physician at National Jewish hospital. He had no remedy for me constant cough, other than to give me hydrocodone with something else added to it. I was presribed an amount very close to a pint sized bottle, with refills allowed for an entire year. I finally sat at my desk at work and didn't dread the moment the phone rang. Up to the use of the medication he prescribed, every phone call was interrupted by my coughing and when someone would walk into my office, I could not talk with them without the coughing making conversation totally impossible. I had the cough for 2.5 years before my Primary provider referred me to National Jewish after attempting everything he could think of, including a disastrous sinus surgery which left me ill and unable to work for almost 2 months. After another wonderful sinus surgery in XXXX by Dr XXXX, I finally had relief. Now the problem has begun again, but appears to be a result of something else. Tell me why the docs are acting "scared" to prescribe me a cough medication which actually provides me a five hour window of time that I can sleep. Otherwise, I am lucky to sleep 1/2 hour, sometimes an hour and fifteen minutes, occasionally a whole 2 hours before the coughing begins in earnest again. So I am totally sleep-deprived. Who on earth makes the decision for my docs that I am not allowed to take a cough syrup which actually provides relief and allows me to sleep a full five hours?

Brief Answer:
What was the earlier diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
History of cough, on and off for several months is frustrating, i can see that. Narcotics have many side effects which is the reason why they are feared to be prescribed for long periods . Flip side, you have every right to "ask" for the prescription you want, especially for an indicated drug when others are not working; whether you get it or not is the discretion of your doctor as he has to weigh many factors and give the best deal that won't harm you.
In my view, correct diagnosis will treat the disease completely. In your case, it is important to identify what exactly is causing the cough.
What was the earlier diagnosis? Anything other than sinusitis? Like Acid reflux, allergies, infections etc can cause un relenting cough. Any investigations ordered..like CT scans of chest, sinuses, IgA levels, Allergy panel testing, bronchoscopy etc?? Please post the details so that i can try help you.
Looking for the reply.
