Brief Answer:
please upload the report

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

It would help me more to see the full report. Also please inform me about your medical history. Do you have any diagnosed condition regarding your blood sugar (diabetes or prediabetes)? Any allergies? Bronchial asthma? And finally why did you do the tests?

Kind Regards!

I m on zarelto for my arrythmia and my cardiologist wanted to check my blood levels, platelets, etc. I haven't been diagnosed with prediabetes. No allergies other than penicillin and levaquin. No bronchial asthma that I know of at this time. I am going to have an ablation on 12/2

L have been sneezing, as crazy as this sounds, 3 times once or twice a day.

Brief Answer:
seems like a mild anemia and prediabetes

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the additional information.

You seem to have a mild anemia but I'm not absolutely sure about that. Comparison with older test reports is required. Some people have lower values than others without having any kind of disorder.

Your fasting blood sugar is high. It's not as high as in patients with diabetes, so this is called prediabetes. In such cases an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is recommended. Checking the fasting blood sugar and checking postprandial blood sugar 2 hours after consuming 75grams of glucose may diagnose true diabetes. The low value of HbA1c is reassuring regarding diabetes.

Your MCH raises no serious concerns. Finally the somewhat elevated number of eosinophils may mean that your sneezing is caused by allergic reactions.

I hope it helps!

When you say the hba1c low level is reassuring , doyou mean it's more likely diabetes? Would any of the following meds possibly cause high sugar levels?

Brief Answer:
crestor may cause hyperglycemia

Detailed Answer:
No, low HbA1c means that your blood sugar is under control. Values less than 6% are normal.

Crestor may indeed cause a worsening in blood sugar control. Most people without diabetes won't notice significant blood sugar elevations. People prone to diabetes are more likely to notice such elevations.

At this point only lifestyle changes are required. Increasing your physical activity, adopting a healthy diet plan and trying to control body weight would be very helpful. Regarding physical activity, walking fast for 20-30 minutes every day or every other day is enough but if you can do more than that then it's going to benefit you more. Your body weight is very important in blood sugar control. Obese or overweight individuals may be resistant to insulin and may have high blood sugar because of that.

Sugar and fat have to be reduced. Daily caloric consumption should be reduced to match your needs. You can consult a dietitian for details.

Kind Regards!

If crestor causes elevation does that mean that it's actually increasing the glucose in your system and if so, are there other meds that can be used that would not raise the glucose levels?

Brief Answer:
most statins cause this

Detailed Answer:
Crestor is a statin. Most statins cause the same side effect. Pitavastatin is supposed to cause this side effect less than other statins.

Kind Regards!
