Brief Answer:
Depends on the condition

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

From the reports you have mentioned, it clearly indicates your daughter suffering from typhoid fever. Regarding the admission of your daughter depends on the condition which can be determined only on physical examination.

As your doctor has suggested after examining her, I would advise you to follow as the doctor says.

The main treatment in here would be fluid infusion to maintain her hydration and antibiotics to treat the infection with observation for any complications. The treatment would be upto 2 weeks depending upon her recovery.

After treatment your doctor would advise for bed rest upto 30 days to regain her energy along with non spicy and non fatty foods to avoid any perforation in the intestines which is the most common complication after the treatment.

Hope this answers your query. If any further questions, will be happy to help.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Follow your doctor's advise

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the follow up.

She is been treated correctly by your doctor. Keep observing for the development of fever as the fever is reducing due to paracetamol and it takes upto a week to be free from fever and antibiotics would be required for longer duration.

Your doctor wants her to get admitted to monitor the development of the fever and any dehydration, if present. After 24hr free of fever and improvement in her general status might discharge her.

This would be a guess as I have not examined your daughter and would still advise you to follow your doctor's suggestions.

Hope this answers your query.
