Question: Hello, my ggtp is high it's at 123 and my alt is at 43. I have had itchy calves and nausea and extreme fatigue. I have Hoshimoto disease so I always thought my fatigue was do to my hypothyroidism. What can this mean? Is something wrong with my liver? I don't drink more than maybe once a month

To start with, an ultrasound abdomen to look for liver structure and sizes is needed. Viral serologies should be sent for hepatitis B and C. Alcohol could have caused this picture but the amount you have mentioned is least likely to cause this. However with the setting of hypothyroidism the posibilty of biliary tract disease or autoimmune hepatitis should always be considered and an autoimmune profile should be sent.
