What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Question: I'm confined to an electric chair resulting from two diagnosed strokes, one in 2009 and another in 2011. Neurologist ordered an MRI and said the stroke on both
occasions centered in that part of my brain that controls balance hence the
wheelchair. I've adapted and have been blessed with a ".self loading" van so I am not housebound. My neurologist retired 2 years ago so I decided to stay in touch so
I made a date to see another neurologist with reputation and took to him my MRI
disc from 2011. After spending a one half hour studying the disc he sat back in his chair and said Mr. Fries you have never had stroke because there is no damage to
your cranial vascular system. Your problem is diagnosed as Ataxia, to which I asked
What can you do about that? He said nothing, so gradually take yourself off Dopamine and you will probably experience a slight increase in alertness.
Does all this sound reasonable to you?

The symptoms are sudden in onset.
Ataxia due to cerebellar problem occurs slowly and is progressive.
If the disease is having improvement after the event then it is likely stroke.

Dopamine is used in parkinsons disease and not in stroke.
You should provide more details regarding drugs and old reports and images.
