What Does My LFT Test Results Indicate?

Question: I am XXXX XXXXXXX My LFT test is Bilrubin 0.78 mg/dl, alkaline phosphate 361.4, SGPT 70.01, SGOT 49.58 . I have pain in right side of my abdomen. Please advice

Your reports says that your liver enzymes are raised. So we need to find out the cause.
Tell me following:
1. Why did you get your LFT done? Just for pain?
2. Any clay colored stools?
3. Any history of blood transfusion or surgery?
4. Any history of pain killer intake or any other medicine on regular basis?
5. Any history of Alcohol consumption?
6. Have you got ultrasound done? If yes share the report.

1. there was some disturbance in right side below rib cage as if there is some gastric problem, so I got my LFTdone. Earlier I had faced some disturbance in stomach due to gastric problem and doctor advised me to have LFT, then also the result was same. Spleen enlargement was also seen at that moment.
2. NO i did not have clay colored stools
3. NO
4. NO
5. Till 2006 taken alcohol , approximately two days in week about 150 ml , but after 2006 stopped.
6. no recent ultrasound , but was done in 2012 , should I get the recent one

Here further investigations are required to find out the cause of this derangement.
Since you use to consume alcohol and spleen was there that time, chronic liver disease need to be considered.
As initial workup I advise you following:
1. Hemogram.
2. Viral Markers.
3. Ultrasound Abdomen.
